Soul & Spirit is clothing as spiritual practice. Each piece is an invitation — to slow down, to feel, to exist fully in your own skin. Handwoven in Nairobi with intention and heritage.
We believe fashion is one of humanity's oldest spiritual languages. Long before runways existed, people adorned themselves to mark rites of passage, to honor the divine, to declare who they were to the world. Soul & Spirit returns to that origin.
Every garment in our collection is conceived with a single question: how does this make the wearer feel, not just look? We choose fabrics that breathe with the body — hand-woven cotton from Kenyan looms, linen that softens with each wear, kanga prints that carry decades of cultural memory. We use natural dyes pressed from earth, plants, and stone.
The result is a wardrobe that participates in your life, not merely decorates it. Pieces that travel with you — through ordinary Tuesdays and extraordinary moments — growing more beautiful as they carry more of your story.
Every dye, fiber, and thread traced back to its natural origin. We partner only with suppliers we can verify by hand.
No machines cut or sew our garments. Each piece carries the quiet intelligence of the hands that made it.
Silhouettes chosen for how they move. Colors chosen for how they feel. Every choice deliberate and considered.
Our garments are designed with flowing, generous silhouettes rooted in East African tradition. We recommend measuring your natural waist and chest for the most accurate fit. When in doubt, size up — our wrap styles are forgiving and adjustable.

These are not product reviews. They are something closer to testimonies — written by women who wore Soul & Spirit to the moments that mattered most, and found the clothes worthy of them.
I wore the Essence Wrap Dress to my mother's final hospital visit. I had chosen it because it was the dress she had asked to see me in — she had been following Soul & Spirit since the first collection and told me she wanted to see me in "the gold one." She passed four days later. I wore the same dress to her service. I have not washed it. Some garments hold things. This one holds her.
When we started asking our customers to share how they wore their Soul & Spirit pieces, we expected feedback about fit and fabric. What came back was something different entirely. Letters about naming ceremonies and graduations. Messages about first days after grief, and last days before change. One woman wrote to say she wore her Spirit Flow Tunic to leave a marriage she had outgrown. Another said she bought the Inner Light Maxi Skirt after her cancer diagnosis — "not because I needed a dress, but because I needed to believe I had somewhere to wear it."
We design clothes. But what people seem to carry them through is life. We do not take that lightly.
What follows is a small selection of the stories people have trusted us with. They are printed here with permission, and with gratitude.
The quality is extraordinary. Knowing it was made by hand in Nairobi makes it even more meaningful. I've never had so many people ask where I bought something.
The Sankofa necklace arrived with a card explaining its cultural meaning. That attention to storytelling sets Soul & Spirit apart from everything else in my wardrobe.
I own pieces from brands four times the price that don't hold a candle to the craftsmanship here. The seams are immaculate. The fabric is alive. I've never written a review before, but this one deserved it.
