Is Nunua Right for Your Brand?

✓ Great fit — we'd love to hear from you
🤲Your products are made entirely by hand — no factory production, no machine cutting or assembly
🌍You're based in East, West, or Southern Africa, or are making products deeply rooted in African craft tradition
💎Your craft is a specialty — beadwork, hand-tooled leather, woven textiles, hand-cast metal, kanga or batik printing
📦You can fulfill orders reliably with lead times of 2–4 weeks maximum
🪪You're open to sharing your story — name, location, craft background — to be featured on your products
📸You have or can produce clean product photography (we provide guidance and can assist)
✗ Not the right platform — for now
🏭Factory-manufactured or mass-produced goods — even if designed in Africa
🔁Resellers or import businesses — we work with makers, not distributors
🧴Food, consumables, supplements, or skincare (not our category)
💻Digital products, services, or non-physical goods
🚚Businesses unable to ship internationally or with lead times over 30 days
Products that cannot be verified as ethically sourced and fairly produced
Vendor Standards

What We Look For in Every Application

🤲
Genuinely Handmade

We verify. Every vendor undergoes a craft verification process — we ask for in-progress photos, workshop photos, and a brief description of your production process. Machine-assisted finishing is acceptable; machine manufacturing is not.

⚖️
Ethical Labor Practices

If you work with other artisans or employees, we require documentation of fair wage practices. We will ask about your team, their compensation, and their working conditions. This is non-negotiable.

🌿
Responsible Materials

We prioritize natural materials: cotton, linen, leather, silver, brass, glass. We will ask about material sourcing — where your materials come from and how they're obtained. Sustainable sourcing is a strong positive signal.

📸
Product Photography

US customers make buying decisions on photography. We require clean, well-lit product images on neutral backgrounds. We provide a photography guide and can connect you with local photography resources if needed.

📬
Reliable Fulfillment

You must be able to fulfill US orders with consistent shipping times. Maximum 4-week lead time for made-to-order items. We conduct a test order as part of onboarding for all accepted vendors.

📖
A Story Worth Telling

Our customers want to know who made what they're wearing. Your artisan story — how you learned your craft, where you work, what inspires you — will be featured on your product pages. Authenticity matters more than polish.

ℹ️ Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway. We'd rather review an application from a strong maker who isn't sure they qualify than miss excellent work because someone self-disqualified. We review every application personally and will always respond, even if it's to suggest applying again when you meet certain criteria.
